At Plastisol Products, our coating expertise allows us to produce high quality painted finishes on a variety of substrates both efficiently and cost effectively. We painted the blood pressure machine cover highlighted here for a customer in the medical device industry.

Featuring dimensions of 9″ in length x 8″ in width x 22″ in depth with a .250″ wall thickness, we media blasted the housing to create a surface texture that would promote a strong coating to substrate bond. After that we masked off the non-painted features and applied a coat of cool gray 1C followed by a coat of cool gray 6C to create a tough, durable and scratch resistant finish. Multiple processes, including thickness testing, decay rub, and cross hatch testing validated that we achieved excellent adhesion properties and uniform, smooth coverage.

This project represents activities that we engage in every day, and our experience has taught us how to “work smart” and plan effectively to achieve production efficiencies, which translates into cost savings for our customers. We currently process 1200 of these units annually for monthly shipments of about 100 units within 3-5 business days.
